Advanced Low/Mid The face of Russian charity

In this episode, you will watch Chulpan Khamatova on Vladimir Posner’s interview show "Pozner" on Russia's Channel One. Chulpan Khamatova became known in 1998 in Russia after starring in the film "Land of the Deaf" by Valery Todorovsky. Later she and Dina Korzun, who played the main role in the film, organized a charity project aimed to help children with hematological diseases. Today, Chulpan is not only one of the most gifted and popular Russian actresses in Russia, but also one of Russia's most respected and trusted philantropists. I just wish to also mention that in Russia the success of the charity function depends on trust in fundraisers. Everyone trusts Khamatova who with a foundation "Grant Life" has raised the money to help children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Her major latest initiative is the construction of the medical center in Moscow with research lab and the latest high-tech equipment for children with oncologic deseases.

Chulpan answers the Proust Questionnaire which is believed to reveal an individual’s true nature. Listen to this interview and prepare to answer those questions yourself. If you are not brave enough or prepared enough to do it, you may get more practice by watching other episodes in which Posner asks the same questions politicians, artists, scientists, musicians.
